Climate
and Weather
Lesson 2
Add: Sun and Water
Things start to heat up in this second Climate
and Weather lesson, literally, as the sun and its relationship
to weather is explored. Of course, without water, there wouldnt
be much of a weather story, so its role is investigated as
well. All the concepts come together in a fun convection activity.
Student Objectives
- Relating weather to the uneven heating of the atmosphere
- Comparing and contrasting the three basic methods of heat
transfer
- Explaining how water enters and moves through the atmosphere
- Explaining how clouds form
